• New Zealand unique laws and standards.  When you buy from us your 5th wheel is designed and built from the ground up to suit these standards. This includes having a manufacturer’s GVM of less than 3500kg to be on a WoF and less than 2.5m wide.

• Our Road Glide and Free Spirit 5th wheels are built to last.   Extensive use of welded aluminium instead of steel and timber dramatically increases the life and reduces the maintenance and weight. • Our Road Glide and Free Spirit 5th Wheels are built to be towed by affordable Japanese & Australian utes that afford easy and fuel efficient towing. The ongoing running costs are also more economical than larger pickups.
• We are NZ's most experienced company in fifth wheel manufacture.  Our units are built to a high standard for those that wish to permanently live and travel, or holiday frequently.

Like any new experience though there is alot to learn and also to put into practice. This is where we step in with our 25 years of 5th Wheel experience, in making sure that you know how everything works, how to hitchup and unhitch, and driving practice. We spend as much time with you as you like without any pressure with no set time limits. From past experience we have found that people have different needs usually based on past experience.

As we are the manufacturer parts and repairs are simple and straight forward. The appliances within the units are from NZ suppliers/distributors so are quickly and easily serviced.

All Road Glide 5th wheels come with a one year warranty bumper to bumper and individual manufacturer’s warranty for appliances. Depending on the circumstances of a problem we can have a repair done at most major centres in NZ or in our factory in Christchurch.

Our webpage is very comprehensive and at first could appear as information overload. We purposely include a lot of information on NZ rules, regulations and laws. Along side these we have calculations, explanations etc. While there is a lot of information to share and at times can seem complicated, we want to be transparent so we have done our best to impart those facts and knowledge in an understandable way. Some items are more difficult to keep simple, such as the NZ legislation as it is complicated document but having the correct interpretation is a must. We always provide links to the relevant government information so that you can work through the maths yourself. We believe it is important that the customer is completely aware of all aspects from tow vehicle limitations to WoF regulations to driver licence rules. One would not buy a house without consulting a lawyer and getting a LIM, so as your 5th wheel is your home on wheels it is also prudent to fully know the rules and regulations and how they directly relate to the unit you are buying.
