About Us

In the Beginning:

Our venture into Fifth Wheels began in the mid 1980's when we purchased our first fifth wheel in the USA and spent a year travelling as a family of five.  Since then we have travelled extensively in the USA, Australia and New Zealand racking up thousands of kms behind the wheel (last count 160,000+ km's)

Why Hodge RV?

Hodge RV is a family business so we wanted our name in the name.  We initially began our business by approaching an American manufacturer to make light weight units that complied for NZ and also had the doors on the correct (left) side.  After gaining alot of knowledge and experience we began manufacturing our own models that are specifically suited to NZ and Australia.

Where we're going:

We began by supplying just the NZ market but now have expanded to the Australian market as well with our fifth wheels now cruising around all areas of the continent. People appreciate the superior quality product we offer and our tasteful decor. The ability to legally tow with a Japanese ute, without compromising on space and cargo capacity has made us the forerunner in the industry.  Our vast knowledge on the legal requirements for light weight 5th wheels is often commented on as a refreshing change. Team Bio:

	Peter & Kay Hodge Directors of the company and our Australian based Sales representatives.   You will most likely see them at RV shows and on demonstration tours through-out Australia & NZ.  They are based at burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast where they enjoy their new much warmer life style.  They are experts on towing and touring in fifth wheelers with over 100,000km's behind the wheel. 	Brett Hodge   Factory manager and sales representative for New Zealand Brett runs the day to day manufacturing within the factory.  He also deals with the specifics of customers orders and enquiries.  If you need to know if a change or alteration can be done within a floor-plan he is the best person to contact.  He has young family made up of an Australian wife (Yvette) and two adorable kiwi/aussie kids (Lachie & Addie). 	Fleur Hodge   Accounts, parts orders & detailing Fleur is in her final year of a B.Com at university.  She works with Hodge RV part-time keeping the books up to date, employees paid and parts ordered.  She also spends some time at the completion of each fifth wheel checking the finish and detail cleaning. email: sales@hodgerv.co.nz Ph: (03) 3498022
